House Cleaning Quote Form

A house cleaning quote form needs three numbers - bedrooms, bathrooms and how often - and one honest answer about the current state of the place.

For cleaners, gardeners, plumbers, electricians and home-service businesses.

Ask the awkward question about condition

The gap between a maintenance clean and a first clean is enormous, and customers systematically underestimate it. A house that hasn't been properly cleaned in a year takes three times as long the first time, and a quote based on "three bed, two bath" loses money on visit one.

Asking about condition directly - with "needs a deep clean first" as an ordinary option rather than an accusation - lets you quote an initial clean and a lower ongoing rate. Customers accept that readily when it's explained before the first visit.

Fewer calls, better numbers

A phone call is a fine way to build trust and a terrible way to collect specifications - nobody remembers everything, and nothing is written down. Collect the facts in writing first, and use the call for the part that actually needs a human.

You'll also stop quoting jobs you didn't want: when the form asks about budget and timing, the mismatches disqualify themselves.

Address, access and "is anyone home?"

The details that decide whether a visit is 40 minutes or two hours are all logistical: the postcode, the parking, how many rooms, whether there's a dog, who's letting you in.

Ask them once on a form and you can schedule properly, price honestly, and stop arriving at jobs that were described optimistically.

Price the right jobs

Every quote costs you time whether or not you win it. Asking about budget and timing up front isn't rude - it's how both sides avoid a week of conversation about a job that was never going to happen.

Yours to change, immediately

Nothing here is fixed. Rewrite a question, reorder them by dragging, add your brand colour, delete half of it. Save and the live form updates - there's no separate publish step and no deploy to wait for.

Questions

Should I quote from the form or visit first?

Give a range from the form and confirm on the first visit. Customers comparing three cleaners want a number, and the range is accurate enough if you asked about condition.

What about a minimum booking?

State it on the form. Two hours is common, and it saves the conversation about whether someone can have forty minutes of ironing.

Can I ask for photos or files?

Not yet - uploads are on the roadmap. In the meantime, most people ask for a link to photos, or reply to the response with an email asking for them. Everything else about the job is captured here.

Can I see where each quote request came from?

Yes. Add a hidden tracking parameter to the link (for example one link on your site and another on your Google profile) and it's stored with the response.

How fast can I put this live?

About a minute. Pick the template, change the wording, press save - saving is publishing - and you get a link to share.

Can I ask for a postcode and check it's in my area?

You can ask for it, and it's stored with the response - so you'll see immediately whether a job is in range. Automatic area checking isn't built in; a line in the form saying which areas you cover does the job.
