Cooking Class Registration Form

A cooking class registration form has to know what people can already do. A class pitched at beginners with two chefs in the room goes badly, and so does the reverse.

For caterers, food trucks, bakeries and private chefs.

Skill level, plus who's coming with whom

Cooking classes are social. Half your bookings are couples, friends or a parent and child, and they want to work at the same station - which affects how you lay out the kitchen before anyone arrives.

So this template asks about skill level honestly and asks whether they're booking as a pair or group. It also asks about knife confidence separately, because that is the one thing that genuinely changes how closely you supervise a station.

Registration that closes itself

The worst version of this is taking registrations you can't honour. Close the form when you're full and everyone with the link sees that immediately, instead of signing up and finding out later.

Allergies are not an optional field

Headcount, date and venue set the quote; allergies and dietary requirements decide whether the day goes well or badly. Both belong on the same form, asked before you cost the job, not confirmed by text the night before.

Written answers matter here more than most trades: when someone tells you in writing what they can't eat, there is a record of exactly what you were told.

Works from a phone, in a queue

Half of these get filled in on a phone while someone is standing in front of you. One small page, no app, no login - it opens and it submits, even on a bad signal.

Yours to change, immediately

Nothing here is fixed. Rewrite a question, reorder them by dragging, add your brand colour, delete half of it. Save and the live form updates - there's no separate publish step and no deploy to wait for.

Questions

Should I ask about allergies for a cooking class?

Absolutely - people are handling and tasting the ingredients. Ask what they can't eat and what they can't touch, which are different questions in a kitchen.

How do I handle gift vouchers?

Add a question asking whether they're redeeming one and for the voucher code. It saves the email exchange that otherwise happens for every gifted class.

Can I stop registrations when we're full?

Yes. Close the form and the link shows a short closed page, so nobody registers for a place that doesn't exist. Reopen it in one click if space frees up.

Can I collect one registration per person or per group?

Either. Many people ask for the group size and the names in one text box; others publish the link and ask everyone to fill it in individually.

Can I get the list as a spreadsheet?

Yes - one click exports every response as CSV, which opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

Can I take deposits through the form?

Not yet - payments aren't built in. Most caterers use the form to capture and confirm the brief, then invoice for the deposit, which also means you check the date is free before taking money.
