Open House Registration Form
An open house registration form should take twenty seconds on a doorstep. Name, contact, and one question about whether they can actually buy.
For estate agents, realtors, brokers and property teams.
The doorstep is not the place for a questionnaire
People arriving at an open house are ready to look, not to fill in a form. Every extra field is a visitor who writes something illegible, gives a fake number, or walks past the clipboard entirely.
So this is five questions with one qualifier: are they in a position to proceed? That, plus a working phone number and consent to follow up, is everything an agent needs from a viewing. The full conversation happens on the call afterwards.
Know who's coming, and what they need
A name is the easy half. The awkward half - dietary needs, accessibility, emergency contacts, sizes - is the half that ruins a day when it's missing, and the half nobody thinks to send you.
So the form asks. Once, at registration, when the person actually knows the answer.
Buyers, sellers and viewings all need different questions
A buyer needs budget, area and timing; a seller needs an address and a reason for moving; a viewing needs a date and a phone number. One "contact us" box serves none of them well.
Purpose-built forms get you a lead you can act on the same hour - which in a market where speed decides the instruction is the whole game.
Everybody's details, exportable
One download gives you the whole list as a spreadsheet - for a check-in sheet, a name badge run, a caterer's headcount or a mail merge. No copying out of an inbox.

Questions
Do I need registration for security reasons?
It's one of the main reasons - a record of who came through a property you're responsible for. A form on a tablet is more legible and harder to lose than a clipboard.
Can I use one form for several open houses?
Ask which property in a dropdown and filter afterwards, or duplicate the form per property so each has its own link and QR code.
Can I stop registrations when we're full?
Yes. Close the form and the link shows a short closed page, so nobody registers for a place that doesn't exist. Reopen it in one click if space frees up.
Can I collect one registration per person or per group?
Either. Many people ask for the group size and the names in one text box; others publish the link and ask everyone to fill it in individually.
Can I get the list as a spreadsheet?
Yes - one click exports every response as CSV, which opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
Can I put this on a property listing?
Yes - the form has its own link, so it can sit behind an enquiry button on a listing, in a portal message or in a QR code on a board. Add a tracking parameter to the link and you'll know which listing it came from.
