Vehicle Purchase Inquiry Form

A vehicle purchase inquiry form is a lead form with three decisive questions: which car, what budget, and how they plan to pay. Get those and your first reply can be useful instead of exploratory.

For garages, dealerships, body shops and mobile mechanics.

Finance intent changes who calls them back

A cash buyer and a finance buyer need different conversations, different people and different paperwork. Asking on the form means the right person picks it up first time, which in a business where the first useful reply usually wins is worth more than any other question on the page.

Part-exchange is the other one. If there's a car to value, you want to know before you quote a monthly figure - not after they've anchored on it.

Fewer calls, better numbers

A phone call is a fine way to build trust and a terrible way to collect specifications - nobody remembers everything, and nothing is written down. Collect the facts in writing first, and use the call for the part that actually needs a human.

You'll also stop quoting jobs you didn't want: when the form asks about budget and timing, the mismatches disqualify themselves.

Registration, mileage, symptoms - before it arrives

A car you know nothing about is an hour of diagnosis you didn't book. Registration, mileage and a plain description of the noise let you plan parts and time before the keys are on the counter.

It also stops the two most expensive misunderstandings in the trade: the job that was bigger than the quote, and the courtesy car nobody arranged.

Price the right jobs

Every quote costs you time whether or not you win it. Asking about budget and timing up front isn't rude - it's how both sides avoid a week of conversation about a job that was never going to happen.

Edit it like a document, publish like a link

Add questions, remove questions, change the order and the wording, set your accent colour. When you save, the form is live at its own address - share it by link, QR code or a button on your site, and read the answers in your dashboard.

Questions

Should I ask for a budget or a monthly payment?

Ask both as ranges. Cash buyers think in totals, finance buyers think in monthly figures, and offering both means neither has to translate.

Can I know which listing an enquiry came from?

Yes - put a tracking parameter on the link for each listing or campaign and it's stored with the response, so you can see which stock generates enquiries.

Can I ask for photos or files?

Not yet - uploads are on the roadmap. In the meantime, most people ask for a link to photos, or reply to the response with an email asking for them. Everything else about the job is captured here.

Can I see where each quote request came from?

Yes. Add a hidden tracking parameter to the link (for example one link on your site and another on your Google profile) and it's stored with the response.

How fast can I put this live?

About a minute. Pick the template, change the wording, press save - saving is publishing - and you get a link to share.

Can I ask for a registration or VIN?

Yes - they're ordinary text questions, and asking for both is common. What you can't do yet is look a registration up automatically; the form collects what the customer types.
