Strategy Session Booking Form
A strategy session booking form should insist on one thing: the single question the session is meant to answer. Without it, ninety minutes becomes a wide-ranging chat that nobody can act on.
For coaches, consultants and independent advisers.
One question per session, written down before it starts
The difference between a strategy session that produces a decision and one that produces notes is whether the question was agreed in advance. "Let's talk about growth" is not a question. "Should we hire a salesperson or an agency by March?" is.
So the first field here is required and asks for exactly that, in one sentence. The template then asks what they've already considered and what constraint is fixed - so the session starts where their thinking stopped rather than repeating it.
Requests you can actually schedule
A name and "sometime next week" isn't a booking. What you need is when they can come, what they want, and how to reach them if the slot moves.
This template asks all three, so the diary entry is a copy-and-paste rather than a conversation.
Qualify before you give away an hour
A free discovery call with the wrong person costs the same as one with the right person. Goals, timeline and budget on the form mean the calls you take are with people ready to work with you.
It changes the first conversation, too: instead of twenty minutes of background, you open with what they wrote and spend the time on the actual problem.
Give them options, not a blank box
Open questions get vague answers. Offering the services and the times you actually have makes the request usable, and quietly steers people towards the slots you want to fill.
Edit it like a document, publish like a link
Add questions, remove questions, change the order and the wording, set your accent colour. When you save, the form is live at its own address - share it by link, QR code or a button on your site, and read the answers in your dashboard.

Questions
What if the client can't name one question?
That's useful information: it usually means the session should be about framing the problem. Reply with two or three candidate questions and let them pick.
Should I charge for a strategy session?
Whatever you decide, say it clearly on the form. Paid sessions attract people who prepare; free ones attract people who cancel. Both work - ambiguity doesn't.
Does this book the slot automatically?
No - it collects a request, and you confirm it. That's deliberate: real diaries have exceptions, and a form that promises a slot you can't honour costs more than one that asks.
Can I limit the options people can pick?
Yes. The service and time-of-day lists are yours to edit, so people can only choose from what you actually offer. You can also close the form when you're full.
Will I know straight away?
Yes, if you want to be. Turn on live notifications and every request is emailed to you the moment it arrives; otherwise collect them and read them in your dashboard.
Won't asking about budget put people off?
It puts off the people who were never going to book, which is the point. Make it a range rather than a number and it reads as professional rather than transactional.
