Massage Therapy Consent

Please read this before your first treatment. It explains exactly what to expect.

What to expect

You will undress only to the level you're comfortable with, in private, and you will be covered by a towel or sheet throughout - only the area being worked on is uncovered. No intimate area is ever massaged or exposed. You may keep any item of clothing on.

You can ask your therapist to change the pressure, avoid an area, or stop entirely at any point, for any reason, without explaining. Your therapist may also end a session if they consider it inappropriate to continue.

Acknowledgements

Massage therapy is for relaxation and relief of muscular tension. It is not a medical treatment, it is not a diagnosis, and it does not replace advice from a doctor or physiotherapist.
